Sara Rhinesmith met Perry Kerekes in 2013 in Caldwell, NJ, sparking a friendship rooted in their mutual love for storytelling.
From afternoons spent wandering up and down Bloomfield Avenue to late-night conversations about distant realms and mythical beings, their shared passion for reading and writing only deepened with time. So when the moment came to bring their dreams to life, founding Bloomfield Ave Publishing felt not only natural but inevitable.

Sara Rhinesmith was born and raised in New Jersey, where the love of storytelling took root at an early age.
A lifelong reader and passionate writer, she found early inspiration in the sweeping worlds of J.R.R. Tolkien, the whimsy of Cornelia Funke, the haunting truths of Stephen King, and the gothic brilliance of Edgar Allan Poe. But it was her grandfather who first instilled in her the belief that putting pen to paper could shape not only stories—but the world itself. His reverence for the written word became the foundation of Sara’s creative journey, guiding her as she crafted tales that blur the line between magic and meaning.

Perry Kerekes was born and raised in New Jersey, where a deep curiosity for the world around her led to a lifelong passion for science, reading, and fun facts.
Whether exploring new ideas or new destinations, Perry brings a thoughtful, inquisitive spirit to everything she does. When she’s not immersed in learning or relaying fun facts to anyone she can find, she can often be found doting on her beloved kitties, planning her next adventure, or going to concerts. Her grounded nature and love for discovery make her a steady force—and a natural storyteller in her own right.
